Tulane University (Tulane) seeks a collaborative, people-oriented, and effective individual to become the Assistant Vice President, Facilities Management.

Tulane University, an AAU institution, continues to thrive in the 2020s. According to US News and World Report, Tulane University is among the top national universities in the United States, ranked 42nd of the best national universities and 34th of the most innovative schools. Tulane is also ranked 4th in service learning.  Boasting over 8,500 undergraduate and over 5,900 graduate and professional students today, Tulane was founded in 1834. Tulane has three campuses: Uptown and Downtown in New Orleans and the National Primate Research Center in nearby Covington.

The institution is well-managed financially, benefits from strong strategic and operational leadership and management, and is poised to invest considerable resources into its physical plant (over $1 billion over the next five years) to steward and to strengthen the built environment and facilities. To this end, Tulane wants an innovative facilities executive to serve as the next Assistant Vice President, Facilities Management, for the Downtown campus.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Facilities, Campus Development, and Real Estate, the new Assistant Vice President, Facilities Management (AVP), directs all daily operational activities and provides financial and budgetary oversight of the Facilities Management staff of the Division of Campus Services. The individual is responsible for operations, maintenance, custodial, and grounds for all Downtown Tulane University properties and manages a team of over 60 individuals.
