Ticket Sales Manager


Job Summary/Basic Function

Millersville University of Pennsylvania is recruiting for a Ticket Sales Manager. This position oversees the daily operations of ticket sales and online services to the departments and offices at Millersville University. The position is integrated with a wide variety of athletics, cultural arts events, and other university sponsored events both on and off campus at a variety of venues.

Annual Salary : Salary range $51,104.00 to $58,403.00, plus comprehensive benefits, including:
  • Health insurance – Low bi-weekly premium, with coverage starting on the first day of employment for employee and all dependents.
  • Dental insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents with coverage starting on the first day of employment.
  • Vision insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents with coverage starting on the first day of employment.
  • Group life insurance – equal to annual salary (up to $50,000) at no cost to the employee
  • Voluntary Group Life and Accident Insurance – available for purchase at low rates for additional employee coverage as well as coverage for spouse and children
  • Long Term Disability Insurance – available for purchase at low rates with either a 90 or 180-day waiting period
  • Retirement – 2 plans to choose from
  • Tuition waiver – for employee, spouse, and dependents.
  • Personal leave – up to 6 days per year
  • Vacation leave – up to 10.4 days accrued per year for first year, increases to 15.6 days per year after 1 year
  • Sick leave – up to 15.6 days accrued per year, including up to 5 days per year that can be taken to care for a family member
  • Holiday leave – 12 days per calendar year

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 1year of experience in ticket sales operations, event management/production, hospitality management, recreation, guest relations, athletic operations, or other related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Supervisory experience leading a team of diverse employees.
  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Highly organized and efficient, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously including managing two or more events and/or event venues at the same time.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with an adept understanding of the comprehensive customer experience.
  • Strong ability to set and communicate clear priorities in dynamic environments to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter, but also to excel in a team/group environment.
  • Ability to work frequent evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful interview.
  • Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of professional experience in higher education or a major cultural institution.
  • Prior experience with ticketing software.
  • Experience working with a diverse population of colleagues, staff, customers, and patrons.
