Job Description:

The Assessment Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties relating to the testing and training functions of the Assessment Center. The position is responsible for the development of promotional assessments as well as training programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Participates in the development and delivery of candidate/student orientations, trainings and other department sponsored trainings and activities (i.e. Physical Abilities Test, Psychological Testing, and CVSA)
•Participates in the preparation and/or validation of written and oral examinations and other screening procedures
•Assists in developing statistics and other pertinent data in analyzing effectiveness of established programs
•Creates and coordinates internal schedules for new and existing projects, assessors and role players for entry-level and promotional processes
•Carries out validation studies and research related to the development and implementation of testing and training programs
•Assists in writing proposals in response to Request For Proposals (RFPs)
•Uses accuracy of content and conformance with departmental and City policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements: 
Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and one (1) year of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and five (5) years of related experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Ability to effectively handle several assignments simultaneously
•Ability to write comprehensive, and analytical technical reports
•Ability to utilize automated statistical programs
•Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing 
•Ability to make appropriate applications of laws, guidelines, policies, rules and procedures
