  • Randolph-Macon College, a private, co-educational liberal arts institution, invites applications for a part-time (25 hours per week) Administrative Assistant for Alumni Relations. This position reports to the Executive Director of Alumni Relations and assists in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship programs initiated by the department, which are of the highest caliber. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Alumni Relations, the Administrative Assistant for Alumni Relations will be responsible for the collection and publication of class notes, the tracking, logistics, and preparation for events, and the day-to-day operational support of the Office of Alumni Relations.

    Qualifications & Experience:
  • Non-profit experience is preferred with preference given to experience in higher education;
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required;
  • Should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, persuasive writing and speaking skills;
  • A desire to work with computer databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Power Point and Publisher);
  • Ability to interact with donors and volunteers, and an understanding and excitement about the process of solicitation and relationship-building through cultivation;
  • Individual should possess a high energy level, initiative, and an appreciation for the purpose and values of a traditional residential college;
  • Flexibility and a willingness to accept night and weekend work are requirements.
