The Articulation & Transfer Officer reports to the VP of Student Services, but works closely with the Dean, Student Services, to ensure consistent collaboration. Primary responsibilities will include coordination of articulation functions between College of the Sequoias and CSU, UC, private four-year institutions, and other community colleges. The assignment includes coordination activities related to curriculum and curriculum development on campus and within the district and maintenance of files/documentation to assure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations that govern inter-segmental articulation of curriculum for transfer purposes.
The Articulation & Transfer Officer will assist the Curriculum Committee and campus departments with the cyclical updating and revision of course outlines and with the submission for acceptance of new courses being developed. Additionally, this position will serve on college-level, district-level, and statewide committees and participate in various departmental and college activities.
The Articulation & Transfer Officer will maintain the ASSIST, TES (Transfer Evaluation System), institutional transfer credit rule database (Banner), coordinate transfer initiatives, and update college catalog that pertains to transfer. This position will collaborate with the Admissions' evaluation team regarding admission procedures, detailing/posting of transfer credit, graduation evaluations, and other duties as needed. In addition, this position serves to strengthen partnerships between community colleges and four-year institutions to support the increase of equitable transfer student and graduation outcomes.
College of the Sequoias is seeking an equity-minded candidate to fill a full-time, tenure-track position in the Student Services Department beginning August 2022.
Job Duties
Assignments may include evening classes, weekend classes, online, and teaching at our locations in Visalia, Hanford, and/or Tulare.
Participation in the governance of the District by way of committee assignments is expected. Other responsibilities include maintenance of a number of office hours, full participation in departmental responsibilities, and the willingness to create and/or participate in and sustain an atmosphere of equity, justice, and appreciation for diversity throughout the college.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
