The Department of Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for the position of Department Chair at the rank of Associate/Full Professor starting Fall 2023.
The candidate must possess the ability to provide outstanding leadership in the administration of the department, including the delivery of academic programs in accordance with departmental, college and university strategic plans; support of the advancement of departmental research, hiring and evaluation of department personnel, budgeting and resource management.

Associate Professor: 1) Possess an earned doctorate in marketing or a related academic field, 2) Demonstrated ability to publish in premier scholarly marketing and/or marketing-related journals, and 3) Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Full Professor: 1) Possess an earned doctorate in marketing or a related academic field, 2) Demonstrated ability to publish in premier scholarly marketing and/or marketing-related journals, 3) Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, and 4) Significant service and contribution to the marketing discipline evidenced by activities such as current or past editorial board memberships of marketing-related academic journals and leadership roles related to academic conferences.
Associate/Full Professor: 1) Possess a strong research program in a marketing-related domain, consistent with rank as evidenced by high quality and quantity of articles published and forthcoming in premier marketing journals as well as pipeline, 2) Expertise mentoring doctoral students, 3) Leadership, consistent with rank, with respect to internal service roles related to teaching and/or research, 4) Leadership, consistent with rank, with respect to external service roles (e.g., associated with conferences or journals), 5) Success in prior leadership roles in a university environment, 6) Experience building and managing external relationships/partnerships and 7) Demonstrate high levels of collaboration, innovation and inclusive practices.
