Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the institutional accreditation process. Serve as the SACSCOC Liaison with responsibility for supervising the writing and compiling of the Reaffirmation of Accreditation, the Fifth-Year Interim Report, and other mandated reports. Submit all Substantive Change requests. Serve as the point person for SACSCOC on-site accreditation visits, organizing all aspects of planning and implementation of the visit(s). Oversee the implementation and management of the Quality Enhancement Plan (five-year plan) in accordance with SACSCOC standards. Support discipline-specific assessment activities. Coordinate the annual reporting process across the institution, which includes providing feedback and ensuring trainings and resources for University personnel.

In collaboration with the Office of IREP (data collection arm), prepare and submit required and/or ad hoc reports related to assessment and accreditation to outside entities (some examples: NC-SARA, SACSCOC, IHL). Process faculty credential documents and work with IREP to ensure the maintenance of a comprehensive credentialing database. Assist IREP in the review and outcomes tracking of the Strategic Plan. Ensure that individual unit reports support the overarching goals of the Strategic Plan.

Assist with policy, curricula, and programmatic changes; facilitate new program proposals and monitor compliance with substantive change guidelines. Provide support to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in regulatory needs, document review and submission and activities related to assessment and accreditation, and manage reporting activities to IHL.

Supervise and manage direct reports as designated by the provost. Support efforts, activities, and special projects of the VPAA/Provost office.

Qualifications:
Terminal degree required. A minimum of five years of experience in higher education assessment and accreditation activities and reporting. Training in SACSCOC accreditation standards. Experience with policy development and implementation with focus on academic affairs and overall university operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Detail-oriented. Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain relationships to enhance University effectiveness practices and work quality.

Documented successful experience in higher education; demonstrated knowledge of organizational structure, policies, and guidelines at an institution similar to Delta State University; demonstrated success in using assessment and reporting software (ex. Anthology) to record and measure outcomes.

Required skills: collaborative relationships with managers, chairs, deans, and administration; excellent writing skills and high level of proofreading/editing; demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards.

Salary:
12 monthCommensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.
