Research Assistant Professors – Infectious Diseases and Global Health

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health in the Biological Sciences Division, is searching for Research Assistant Professors who will contribute to research projects as part of the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination. The appointees’ primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointees will complement existing areas of strength and contribute to project conception and execution.  We especially welcome applicants with expertise in any of these areas: implementation science, pragmatic trial design, advanced biostatistics and computational modeling. Fields of interest include public health and socio-behavioral interventions for HIV, viral hepatitis, and/or substance use disorder, and the understanding of these processes in the context of the underlying risk environment, including criminal legal and other policy contexts. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in public health, social sciences, statistics or biostatistics, biological sciences or related disciplines, and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.

To be considered, those interested must apply through The University of Chicago’s Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/110769.   Applicants must upload: a cover letter, CV including bibliography, and research statement. Review of applications will begin one month after posting, and ends when all available positions are filled.
