Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cape Cod Community College is seeking an energetic, driven, and enthusiastic Senior Admissions Counselor to provide admissions activities for incoming students. The majority of the Senior Admissions Counselor's time will be spent in the office with travel throughout southeastern MA, Cape Cod, and the Islands; hybrid work schedule to be determined by the operational needs of the College. Given the nature of the enrollment cycle, occasional weekends and evenings will be required. An integral role within the Admissions and Recruitment Office, the Senior Admissions Counselor is responsible for the delivery of a variety of recruitment programs to support enrollment goals. The Senior Admissions Counselor must possess thorough knowledge of academic programs, financial aid, educational costs, and advising. The successful candidate will be able to leverage communication and recruitment efforts to drive applications and will be comfortable using a variety of technology platforms and programs to aid in recruitment in enrollment efforts.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  1. Professionally and enthusiastically, present information regarding the College, program offerings, structure, cost, financial aid, etc. to prospective students via information sessions, on-spot admissions, walk-ins, phone calls, and campus tours.
  2. Proactively recruit prospective students through high-touch, consistent communication via multiple channels including phone, in-person, remote/virtual, texting, and social media platforms with the goal of moving students through the enrollment funnel.
  3. Work closely with service area high school counselors to support student transition through the enrollment journey, including high school visits and college fairs.
  4. Provide individual meetings for prospective students and families to review academic program offerings, financial aid and covering educational costs, career outlook, transfer opportunities, etc. both via walk-in and scheduled options.
  5. Use a holistic approach to admissions counseling through intentional conversations with students to discuss their interests, strengths, and aspirations to help guide their educational journey and next steps through the enrollment process.
  6. Help newly admitted students develop a full-program plan to schedule classes, access support resources, and clarify paths to education and career goals.
  7. Collaborate with departments outside of Enrollment Management to help move students through the enrollment funnel. Organize opportunities for prospective students to meet with faculty and students in fields of interest to them.
  8. Assist director with application review process for new, transfer, and returning students into both associate and certificate academic programs, including international and dual enrollment students.
  9. Collaborate across all divisions and departments to maintain program knowledge and understanding of academic offerings.
  10. Serve on college committees as assigned.
  11. Performs related duties as directed.



Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a closely related field plus 2 years of experience and/or training involving college admissions, enrollment and/or student services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Ability to evaluate, audit, and assess admissions data.
  3. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  5. Possession and maintenance of a valid Massachusetts driver's license.


ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience with a student information enterprise such as Jenzabar.
  2. Experience using multiple channels for communication.
  3. Experience working with dual enrollment or similar high school programs.
  4. Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of students.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : MCCC Unit Position. Grade 4 Senior Admissions Counselor position salary range of $52,754 - $63,770. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
