Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Medical Records Associate functions as a member of a medical records team in support of the clinical and administrative staff in a fast-paced college health center. This position’s primary responsibilities will be to manage incoming calls and scheduling medical appointments.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Greeting patients and visitors; answering questions about the Student Health Center services, including immunization compliance and the Student Health Insurance Plan.
  • Accurately entering information in the Electronic Health Record and Immunization systems.
  • Managing records requests and providing support to the department. A commitment to customer service and confidentiality is required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Preferred education, professional skills and experience
  • Experience working in a college health setting, or a medical office
  • Experience with Banner and/or an Electronic Health Record
