Position primary purpose and general responsibilities:
Perform survival surgical procedures in rodents under
general anesthesia using sterile technique. Perform post-operative
monitoring, post-operative care and record keeping in compliance
with Federal and State guidelines and requirements. Perform data
analysis on complex data sets using statistical analysis software.
Assist in preparation of test compound reports for sponsors. Assist

experimental rodents using sterile technique with a high success
rate. Recover experimental rodents from anesthesia. Perform

Responsibility statement: Study management, personnel training and

Minimum hiring standards:
Previous experience with laboratory animals. Prior experience
conducting survival surgical procedures in rodents. Prior
experience with data analysis and preparation of technical reports.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisor; ability to
work as part of a team and adapt to unexpected changes in
