The Brandcenter at VCU, a two-year, full-time master’s program focused on developing the best creative problem-solvers in the world of brands, seeks applicants for adjunct teaching positions for the 2022-2023 academic year. At the Brandcenter, students interested in top careers in art direction, copywriting, strategy, brand management and experience design are given a thorough history and overview of the industry and current issues, as well as experience developing advertising campaigns and branding projects.
These positions require a candidate with patience, understanding, and an ability to motivate students to a higher level of work. The Brandcenter will contact candidates whose credentials match our teaching needs. This posting will remain active until June 30, 2023. After June 30, 2023, applicants will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include teaching graduate-level students in brand strategy, research, advertising, design, communications and/or innovation.
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree.
Experience in branding, advertising or related field required.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience at the college-level is preferred.
Advanced Degree.
