The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Strategy starting  August 2023  ,  subject to final budget approval  .

 

The Management Department is comprised of several areas, including Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior/Human Resources, Sustainability, and Operations Management. The research of our faculty is regularly published in high-quality journals as ranked by the FT50, such as Strategic Management Journal , Academy of Management Journal , as well as others. We foster a collaborative and supportive environment, with brown bag seminars with external speakers, as well as internal seminars designed to support the development of research ideas as well as continue the development of methodological skills.

 

The successful candidate is expected to pursue and promote a rigorous research agenda in strategic management, and contribute to the doctoral concentration in Management and Organization. Contribution to the doctoral concentration in Management and Organization includes doctoral student mentorship and advisement as well as teaching course(s) at the doctoral level in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates should also be prepared to teach core and/or elective courses in strategy and/or management to MS, MBA, and BBA students. Both analytical and empirical research orientations will be considered.

 

NOTES:

 

All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the tri-state area.

 

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. QUALIFICATIONS

 

Applicants should have a PhD (or ABD) in Strategic Management, or a related field.

 

We are seeking a colleague in the area of Strategic Management, with research interests broadly related to healthcare. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven independent research record and experience with or clearly demonstrated potential for advising doctoral students. Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels in any and all areas of strategy are also preferred.
