About the Position

Part-time Law Admissions Interviewers will assist the Law Admissions office with conducting admissions interviews for JD applicants for Fall 2023. We are seeking three recent alumni to interview applicants remotely and on campus for 10-25 hours per week. A dedicated office or other private space will be provided for interviews conducted on campus. Scheduling is flexible and largely depends on individual availability. Though much of the work can be done remotely, interviewers may be asked to conduct some interviews on campus, depending on the needs of the department.

What You'll Do
  • Review and summarize applicant files in preparation for each interview.
  • Conduct applicant interviews in-person, via Zoom, or over the phone.
  • Summarize interview notes and record them in the admissions online database.
Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree and J.D.
  • Must have graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School within the past three years (2019 or later).
  • Must have own laptop computer with reliable access to wifi.
  • Must have own mobile phone with the ability to make local and international calls.
  • Have the ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience using Slate, ACES2, Google Workspace, and VCita is preferred, though not required.
  • Experience working in higher ed or law admissions.
  • Experience with interviewing and application review.

  • Standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, seeing.
Work Schedule
  • Hours/Days per week: Approximately 10-25 hours per week. Scheduling and hours will depend on individual interviewer availability.
  • Benefit Eligible?: No
  • Work Schedule : Scheduling is flexible. Depending on interviewer availability and preference, hours may include early morning, evening, and weekends.
  • Much of the work can be done remotely, though candidates may be asked to conduct interviews on campus 1 or 2 days per week.
Pay Rate
  • $20 per interview (Each interview takes approximately 1 hour to complete, including preparation time and post-interview tasks.)
  • Expenses for international calls and other will be reimbursed.

Eligibility to Work

In order to comply with US Homeland Security Department regulations, all employees must complete an I-9 form in Workday prior to or no later than the first day of work and bring originals (no photocopies) of their supporting documentation to Human Resources no later than the 3rd business day of employment. Failure to have a completed I-9 form on file with the College will result in immediate termination of employment.
