Overview
Under general direction, incumbents must be enrolled in a masters degree program related to the required discipline requested on the task order statement of work.

The purpose of the CARMA-AI project is to enhance the security of computer systems using an understanding of human behavior and adaptive network-based decoys.


Responsibilities
The CARMA-AI research project is an applied research effort consisting of tasks related to the development of novel defense strategies for interfering with network-based adversaries. This task is focused on Data Analysis of a previous human subject research experiment and its application to further CARMA-AI development. The Contractor will be expected to participate in Technical Writing tasks. The Contractor will provide analytical and technical support in the following areas:

4.1 Software development and testing. Assisting in the coding and testing of software used to analyze research data, and in the development of new software diversity measurement techniques and tools.
4.2 Software prototyping. Assisting in the design and development and implementation of new algorithms which take into account the psycho-social behavior of adversaries and defenders.
4.3 Experimentation and analysis. Performing experiments and collecting experimental data according to a given experimental design.

This includes:
4.3.1 Reviewing, analyzing, and documenting experimental methods and results.
4.3.2 Performing numerical and statistical analysis of experimental results.
4.3.3 Assisting in the design of new experiments.
4.3.4 Assisting in the development of new experimental hypothesis.
4.4 Writing and documentation.
4.4.1 Assist as co-author in writing documentation, technical reports, and scientific papers.
4.4.2 Monthly status reports and bi-weekly time reports will be in accordance with basic contract CDRLs.


Qualifications
Graduate Student 1: Must have a Bachelor's degree in the required discipline and be enrolled in a Master's degree program. Must be able to accomplish a minimum of 50% of the task without supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Area of Study: Psychology major (working on Masters or PhD).
  • Academic GPA of at least 3.0.

  • Research Methods
  • Statistics

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Applied research experience
  • Experience with human-subject data and analysis techniques
  • Working knowledge of experimental design
