Full Time/Term

The Southeast Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC) has been housed on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University since 1996. The Center serves approximately 84 school districts in the southeast Missouri region. RPDC personnel provide training programs for the teachers and administrators throughout the area on a continuous basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with RPDC personnel to support the professional development of school districts in the southeast Missouri region
  • Provide training and coaching support to building leadership teams and teachers
  • Assist teachers and schools engage in focused collaboration to improve student outcomes
  • Provide supports that foster a data-driven culture within the school
  • Provide support to districts to promote implementation fidelity
  • Provide technical assistance with required and recommended evaluation tools
  • Provide assistance to content area teachers centered around the Missouri Learning Standards
  • Collaborate and support the work and initiatives of the Southeast RPDC personnel as it relates to professional learning
  • Provide expertise in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and related professional development
  • Attend and actively participate in all DESE required statewide meetings/trainings


  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher or school administrator
  • Knowledge of research-based best practices in education
  • Knowledge of Missouri Learning Standards
  • Experience collaborating in a variety of team opportunities
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with experience in facilitating adult learning
  • Ability and means to travel in the state of Missouri on a regular basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, work in groups, communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner, negotiate with others, and solve problems
  • Evidence of an on-going customer focus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities through strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
