The School of Labor and Employment Relations invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Macro Human Resource Management at the Assistant Professor level. We are open to new PhD graduates or experienced assistant professors.

We are generally interested in candidates who have research and teaching interests in macro human resource management (e.g., strategic human resource management, strategic human capital, performance management, talent management), ideally with related interests in industrial relations, employment relations, work and employment, future of work, or related areas. This is a full-time tenure-track position that combines research with teaching in the School’s master’s program (Master of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations) and its PhD program in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. The School is a multi-disciplinary academic unit that concentrates on research and teaching (online and in-person) in the human resources and employment relations fields. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•           Conduct original, high quality scholarly research for publication in leading academic journals

•           Teach in the School’s master’s and PhD programs

•           Participate on School-wide service committees

​MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in management, human resource management, industrial relations, or related social science discipline; ABDs who demonstrate a strong potential for conducting exemplary research and teaching and who anticipate Ph.D. completion no later than August 2023 will also be considered. Applicants who are experienced assistant professors must have a demonstrated record of publications in top tier journals and a record of excellent teaching.

APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a full-time (100%) tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor), appointed on a 9-month basis and paid over 12-months (9/12).  The expected start date is 8/16/23.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
