Job Description

The Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE) Department at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is seeking a tenure track faculty member at the assistant professor rank across the broad spectrum of engineering management and systems engineering disciplines. Candidates will be expected to establish a strong research program in engineering management or systems engineering that will lead to research grants and high-quality journal publications, as well as teach in the industrial engineering or systems engineering areas as part of the department’s on-campus and distance education programs.

Minimum Qualifications

The candidate should have a PhD in engineering management, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field and be positioned to collaborate with department and campus faculty.

The successful candidate should have a background in engineering management, industrial engineering, systems engineering, or a related field and be positioned to collaborate with department faculty.

Candidates with an interest in operations research, optimization, digital engineering, machine learning, computational intelligence, data analytics, and manufacturing operations are encouraged to apply.

About the EMSE Department

The department offers BS, MS, and PhD Degrees in Engineering Management and MS and PhD degrees in Systems Engineering and is solely housed in the Engineering Management Building, with available lab, office, and classroom space. The department maintains an active research program with recent grants from funding sources such as NSF, NIH, USDOE, USDoD, USDOT, and The Boeing Company. Missouri S&T is located in Rolla, Missouri, and offers abundant outdoor recreational opportunities and easy access to metropolitan areas and the beautiful Ozark Mountain region.
