Job Overview
University of Cincinnati Clermont College invites applications beginning September 16, 2022, for Assistant Professor of English Composition, Tenure-Track. UC Clermont is an open-admissions, regional campus thirty miles east of the University of Cincinnati in Batavia, Ohio, with an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. The college offers a variety of certificates, transfer programs, two-year technical degrees, and one baccalaureate degree.

Essential Functions

• Teaching English Composition at all levels. Teaching 12 credit hours per term in the fall and spring semesters. Teaching both face-to-face and online classes. Ongoing scholarship/research, including peer-reviewed work. Service to the Department, College, University, and Community. Service on appropriate Composition committees as needed. Participation in developing, coordinating, and assessing curricula and/or programs.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: earned doctorate in English Rhetoric and Composition, English, or related field. All candidates must have the appropriate degree awarded by time of appointment. Preference will be given to the candidates who demonstrate experience with open access education. Additional credentials in the areas of developmental writing, creative writing/fiction, technical/workplace writing, journalism/web-based writing, or Writing Across the Curriculum are advantageous. Candidates must provide evidence of at least two years of full-time college-level teaching experience or the equivalent in part-time (e.g., graduate teaching assistant or adjunct).
