Position Summary
Transform lives as Chief Academic Officer by providing leadership and management for all academic programs and academic support services to foster student learning, enhance student success, improve organizational effectiveness, and promote equity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities
Promote the College as a leading provider of higher education throughout the communities and to the businesses within our District.

Serve on the District’s Executive Team and chair the Academic Leadership Team (ALT).

Oversee academic program development including management, assessment, planning, new initiatives, and evaluation of student learning and educational programs.

Ensure compliance with college and program accreditation and regulatory requirements to uphold educational reputation as it relates to program, curriculum, instruction, assessment, and instructional support.

Provide vision and leadership to academic team to develop, implement, and evaluate academic processes that support the College’s mission and vision.

Responsible for academic and curriculum policy development, administration, and evaluation.

Develop goals and implement strategies to achieve the College’s key results.

Provide leadership and direction in preparing, coordinating, and executing the College’s strategic plan.

Oversee curriculum and develop an educational master plan.

Collaborate effectively with Enrollment Strategy Team and others across the college to design, implement, and evaluate strategies to increase enrollment, improve recruitment and retention, and promote course and program completion.

Attend Board meetings and provide support to the College Board’s Academic & Student Services Committee.

Staff, supervise, support, and evaluate employees in areas of responsibility.

Effectively prepare and manage operational and capital budget.

Participate in and build relationships with College committees and external community groups.

Develop, coordinate, and support programs that promote faculty professional development.

Responsible for the coordination of research and education planning.

Perform other duties as assigned.
