Assistant Professor of Sustainable Business

The Department of Sustainable Business at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Sustainable Business.  This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position starting August 15, 2023.  Opportunities for summer teaching are also available.  The Assistant Professor will assume the role of department chair and work under the direction of the Provost.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching: Teach 24 credit hours (typically six courses) per year, including one business class.  Summer and winter term teaching opportunities available but not required. Service: Advise students, assist with recruitment of qualified students, and perform committee assignments. Scholarship: The successful candidate will develop and maintain a program of scholarship in their area of expertise. Candidates are encouraged to engage students in research. 

Perform other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include a graduate degree in sustainable business, environmental studies or management with a focus on organizations and the natural environment. Applicants should be able to demonstrate successful implementation of sustainability initiatives in their professional work accomplishments. Interest and/or experience teaching at the university teaching level is a must.
