Faculty: Mathematics

Provide instruction in mathematics to students seeking associate degrees and certificates at Berkshire Community College.

Faculty members in the math department teach a wide variety of courses ranging from arithmetic to differential equations. In addition to typically teaching 15 credit hours each semester, professors participate in college service, such as committee work or outreach, and advise students. The math department supports the needs of over a dozen programs of study.

BCC is looking for a candidate who enjoys working with a diverse group of students to provide foundational and upper-level mathematics skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate values flexibility and employs evidence-based teaching techniques and practices, including practice sessions and one-on-one student support. The ideal candidate is a collaborative colleague who shows interest and enthusiasm for the history and future of mathematical ideas. Members of the math department work together to address challenges and incorporate changes related to mathematics education, with the goal of encouraging our students to use math to better understand the world.
