Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has an opening for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of Biological Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience. The ideal candidate will mount a vigorous research program aimed at better understanding the biological bases of behavior, while making significant contributions to the department's teaching mission. The area of research is open and could include the study of cognition, motivation, perception, or social processes in nonhuman species, particularly rodents or non-human primates.

Responsibilities:

Teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in addition to supervising master's and doctoral students. Conduct scholarly research and perform University and professional service as appropriate.

Required
Terminal Degree
Ph.D. in Psychology or related field required prior to start of appointment.

Qualifications:

A well qualified candidate will demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and scholarly research in the area of Biological Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience. Teaching experience welcome.
