Admin Support Specialist (Eagle Card Office)

Primary Purpose of Position:
North Carolina Central University's Eagle Card operations is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to schools and departments, administrators, staff and students through its use of the multi-faceted identification program which includes meal plans, book allowances or vouchers, POS terminals, debit/credit authorization, GET, self-service banner interfaces for meal plans, book allowances or vouchers, MyPhoto, UGryd, and Instant ID Card Design. The objectives of Campus Enterprises is to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of administrators, faculty, staff and students through the use of technology, maintain financial integrity support of the technology that is deployed and to provide adequate services.

Minimum Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess:
  • Knowledge of the Banner Finance System or and equivalent system
  • Knowledge of office and record management
  • Knowledge of cash register to conduct business
  • Analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multitask within a busy office
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environments using shared data sources and online applications Ability to critically think and analyze data
  • Handle large volume of projects, incoming materials and concurrent deadlines
  • Maintain confidential files
  • Interact with all levels of the organization and the public
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative and follow through until completion or resolution of assignments
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to adhere to deadlines, and to be flexible
  • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in problem solving
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, customer service and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, i.e. proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) applications
