Job Summary/Basic Function:
Manage all activities concerning and involving the “front line” in the Office of Student Financial Services including phone, email and in-person customer service. Provide information to students and families regarding financial aid, student accounts and student employment programs, policies and activities. Manage scheduling of appointments and meetings, order supplies, submit office bills for payment. Maintain student records/applications on BANNER, Slate and in BDMS (document management system). Compile and present data about quantity, timing and nature of customer inquiries, participate in the assessment of SFS services, recommend service enhancements. Assist in the processing and completion of campus-wide student employment positions. Hire and provide supervision and training to all student workers in the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma and/or advanced degree. Strong communication and organizational skills, including exemplary customer service. Ability to work under deadlines and adapt to change. Significant contact with students, parents, faculty, administrative staff. Knowledge of BANNER not necessary but preferred. Knowledge of office computer programs (including Google) required; other office applications helpful. Previous work in an academic environment helpful. Knowledge of financial aid/student accounts activities helpful.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree, experience in a college administrative office, skilled at multi-tasking and attention to detail.
