Job Description:

The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at Assumption University seeks to hire one part-time adjunct instructor for the spring 2023 semester. The department needs to staff one section of PHY213: Introduction to Engineering Problem Solving. The course is capped at 20 students. Class meetings run from January 9 to April 29, which includes the final exam week.

Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department, to our students, and are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.

Requirements:

Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.

Applicants should have a PhD in Engineering or a related field. ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.

Must be vaccinated and boostered for COVID-19
