Position Summary
This is a full-time tenure-track position in the Department of Health and Human Performance. An Assistant Professor teaches throughout the academic year, mentors students, maintains an active scholarship program, and contributes to service to the department and college.

Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal degree (PhD or Doctorate) in Heathcare Administration or related field.
- ABD applicants will be considered if dissertation will be completed by July 1, 2023.
- Flexible communicator, who connects with audiences through writing and presenting
- Interpersonal skills, I.e. with students, colleagues, and others Fort Lewis College community members
- Experience with culturally-responsive teaching practices
- Teach courses in Health Administration, which includes designing courses, planning and delivering class sessions, assessing student learning, and mentoring students.
- Maintain a regular schedule of office hours for students
- Collaborate with other faculty in planning, implementing, and evaluating health administration courses
- Collaborate with faculty and administration in developing the health administration program
- Maintain an active scholarship program, which includes supervising undergraduate research
- Participate in administrative reporting, which may include program review, program assessment, and accreditation.
- Participate in departmental and institutional service
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
- Instructors who are assigned courses in a distance format (hybrid, online, HyFlex) must have either 1) had formal professional development in online curricular design and instruction, or 2) must complete FLC’s institutional training within the first term of teaching in a distance format.
- Maintains knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508.
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
