The Department of Psychology at North Carolina A&T State
University invites applications for the 9-month, tenure-track
position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Psychology.
Primary duties include teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in psychology, including general psychology for majors, freshmen seminar, senior seminar, and independent research, but especially those undergraduate courses in the candidates' specialty areas. Candidates are also expected to teach specialty courses in Health Psychology at the graduate level. Candidates are expected to establish a funded health-related research program. The successful candidate is expected to train both undergraduate and graduate students in research techniques and engage in student advisement. Candidates are expected to write proposals, publish in peer reviewed journals and work collaboratively with colleagues from psychology and /or related disciplines. Service to the department, the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences, and the university are also expected.
