About the LGBT Resource Center

The LGBT Resource Center (LGBT RC) at the University of Utah supports the success of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) students to grow as leaders and learners by supporting students in navigating university systems, exploring their identities, finding community, and developing as leaders with a social justice lens. The Center leads and collaborates on educational and cultural events for the entire campus. The LGBT RC was formally dedicated in April of 2002. The center was a result of a concerted student initiative that was supported by faculty and university administration, which resulted in the establishment of an office on campus permanently located within the Student Union. The LGBT RC is part of both the Division of Student Affairs and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
