Position Summary
Responsible for the coordination and input of the Texas Education Agency’s required high school auditable data and information into the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate accurate and auditable records. Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance and 10-key skills, and the ability to meet established deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service.

Physical Requirements
Work with light, easy to handle material requiring little physical effort.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree plus two years' experience in data entry or related field or Associate Degree plus four years’ experience in data entry or related field or high school graduate plus six years’ experience in data entry or related field. Official transcripts will be required. *** Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check. ***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates the collection, integration and entry of all data required for PEIMS submissions to the Texas Education Agency. Works cooperatively with high schools, business office and district service center staff to collect, organize and format data required for state reporting. Responsible for processing high school student withdrawals in a timely manner. Runs queries, reports and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information. Distributes edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis verification and correction of data. Assists with enrollment during peak enrollment periods. Attends PEIMS training classes and workshops and disseminates information to other RCHS staff members as appropriate. Complies with policies established by federal and state laws, state board of education rules, and local board policies. Compiles, maintains and files all physical and computerized reports, records and other required documents. Performs related duties as assigned.
