The Department of Chemistry at Binghamton University (State University of New York, https://www.binghamton.edu/chemistry/) invites applications for an up to three-year renewable, full time, General Chemistry Lecturer position. Principal responsibilities are to coordinate the new research-based general chemistry laboratory lecture course, including development/refinement of course materials, direct supervision and evaluation of laboratory teaching assistants, and  will also   teach a section of the main general or organic lecture course. Candidates with prior experience in teaching environmental chemistry, coordinating large groups, teaching large enrollment courses, interest and ability in the use of alternative and innovative instructional methods, and familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, will be given preference. Candidates comfortable in a student-centered environment and committed to the college mission are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a Chemistry Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
