Outreach Specialist - Continuing Education - 18822



ATTENTION:

The Continuing Education Department at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater at Rock County Campus seeks an Outreach Specialist. This position is located in Janesville, Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater at Rock County.



JOB DETAILS:

Delivers and assists with planning outreach program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. May assist with tracking and managing the outreach program budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
  • Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program
  • Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
  • Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
  • Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
  • May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending
  • Leads the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
  • Collaborates with School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Education marketing and technology to ensure accurate and timely promotion of camps and conferences
  • Develops and strengthens relationships with event, camp, and conference directors through detailed event management (event preparation, day of management and event closeout)
  • Work in partnership with branch and main campus entities, including: dining, housing, athletic trainers, etc. to ensure camp and conferences needs are met

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Well-qualified candidates can expect a starting annual salary within a range of $41,000 – $46,000.

CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT:

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position.
