Essential Job Functions

The Campus Administrative Officer at the Local Campus reports to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement and serves as a liaison between the Local Branch Campus, the greater local/regional community, and University. This position will develop and deploy a strategic advancement plan for friends and donors of the University with an added focus on the Local campus which is aligned with UW-Green Bay strategy and leverages the University's approach in support of student access and success, institutional growth, and community engagement. This position is responsible for building impactful community relationships, creating connections with educational entities that can lead to the recruitment of students, soliciting and securing gifts and pledges, and providing regular stewardship of donors and their gifts.

In addition to advancement activities, this position will be responsible for broad daily oversight over the Local campus operations, including responsibility for select operational functions as necessary to assure smooth campus operations. This position will also support recruitment efforts by working closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and the UW-Green Bay recruitment team to maintain and improve high school and community relations, and identify enrollment opportunities and obstacles in an effort to provide potential solutions. The Campus Administrative Officer also provides input and feedback to the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Inclusion to support student life initiatives on the local campus and to the Executive Director of marketing and communications on marketing and branding. This position consults with internal and external stakeholders in support of addressing priorities and solving complex problems while ensuring alignment with institutional goals. 

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit donors and perspective donors for philanthropic gifts in support of the University, including:
    • Plans and directs staff implementation of advancement initiatives and programs in alignment with the strategic plan.
    • May serve as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information on business-relations issues, opportunities, and activities and representing the interests of the unit.
    • Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships.
    • Collaborates with unit leadership to deliver directed program messaging to internal and external audiences.
    • Evaluates advancement strategy effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement.
    • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees.
  • Perform general campus operations activities under the direction and guidance of relevant institutional leadership, including serving as liaison with municipalities and counties to carry out the University’s government relations strategy, supporting efforts toward bringing visibility and publicity to the University and local campus, and oversight of daily business and administrative operations of campus including supervision of the Campus Administrative Assistant.
  • Perform student success activities under the direction and guidance of relevant institutional leadership, including: advancing community engagement through EDI initiatives; coordinating concurrent educational opportunities at the local campus; collaborating on community and statewide outreach initiatives; and ensuring consistent policies, procedures, and services for admissions and enrollment are executed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree at time of application 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in community relations 
  • Demonstrated experience in engagement activities in the public higher education environment 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge

Conditions Of Appointment

Position is a full-time Limited appointment.  Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s).  A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).  In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the university does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

Salary

Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

BENEFIT DETAILS

The UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.

In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
