Position Summary

The instructor will be responsible for teaching classes in the areas of Public Safety Ecosystems, Public Safety and Homeland Security Studies, Public Safety and Terrorism, and Case Studies in Public Safety Leadership. The instructor will have broad exposure to public administration, public policy, leadership, and decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

Teach courses, and develop course syllabi, assignments, and assessments; work with students to conduct research, hold regular office hours, and utilize various modes of instruction (i.e., online asynchronous, zoom, or hybrid).

Minimum Qualifications

MA in Security Studies, Public Safety or Public Administration.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge in Public Safety, Security Studies, and Homeland Defense. Administrative, Supervisory, and Management skills, Leadership and Decision-Making skills, Understanding and Application of Security Procedures and Policy, Conflict and Dispute Resolution skills
