Description:
- The Financial Aid Analyst, under supervision, performs standard
financial aid processing and evaluation responsibilities. This
includes providing responsible assistance and specialized skills in
the administration of student financial aid.
Responsibilities:
- Accept, review, and administer appropriate files and processes
associated with the issuance of student financial aid at the local,
state, and national level.
- Coordinate communication as necessary to support collection of
appropriate materials for student file completion.
- Assist with the response and dissemination of daily
correspondence as necessary.
- Assist with document acceptance and scan to process and
maintain FAFSA, TASFA, and other sources of information.
- Log all private scholarship checks.
- Prepare all private scholarship checks for deposit.
- Post of checks to student account.
- Return private checks to donor for those students not
enrolled.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director
and/or Director of Student Financial Assistance or their
designees.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Four (4) years of related experience.
- Additional education may be considered as a
substitution.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Excellent customer service and organization skills.
- Ability to work night and weekends on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or 60 college hours
- Experience working in an institution of Higher Ed
- Working knowledge of Banner or a Student Information
System
- Knowledge of Federal and State Financial Aid
regulations
