The Department of Criminal Justice at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice or other closely-related social science field is required; however, consideration will be given to ABD with degree completion by August 2023. Areas of specialization are open. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly research, and service to community and/or profession. The Department of Criminal Justice includes six full-time faculty. We offer a Criminal Justice major with an optional Legal Studies Concentration, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and minors in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Juvenile Justice, Security Administration, and Legal Studies. Our Legal Studies Program is ABA -approved.
