TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS

Franklin College invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professors of Psychology, English and Creative Writing, Journalism, and Art, with a start date of August 2023. For all positions, teaching responsibilities are 12 credit hours each semester and one intensive January term course on a three-year rotation. Located about 20 miles from downtown Indianapolis, Franklin College is a private, four-year small liberal arts college that provides a strong, active, and tailored liberal arts education through small class sizes and intentional relationships between students and faculty mentors.

These positions are part of a college-wide cluster of searches designed to increase curricular coverage of areas related to diversity and inclusion, as well as to promote inclusive teaching strategies across the university. We are specifically interested in applications from candidates whose intellectual and pedagogical expertise or experience engaged power, privilege, and social justice. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning, openness to innovation, and a genuine dedication to working with undergraduates in a small, collegial liberal arts setting is strongly preferred. Willingness to participate in broad service to the college, such as advising, committee work, and professional development, is required. Benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement plan, EAP, and tuition benefits for employee and their family.  Please visit www.franklincollege.edu under Employment Opportunities for additional detail, including deadlines, for all positions.
