The School of Art and Design, New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University seeks a dynamic artist and educator for a tenure track faculty position in Photography at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the shaping of the photography program. Candidates are expected to have an active exhibition record at the national level and an engagement with the issues of contemporary photography. We are seeking applicants whose practice is immersed in an expansive definition of photography. Applicants must possess a background in both analog and digital photographic processes; photographic history and theory; and a strong interest in teaching in a multi-disciplinary program. Responsibilities comprise teaching introductory through advanced levels of photography, including participation in the Foundations program and the potential to advise graduate students. The teaching load is 12 credits per semester.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include an M.F.A. in studio art or design or its equivalent. The successful candidate will have an active record of exhibitions and projects at the national level and growing recognition in the field; three years teaching experience or equivalent is preferred; salary will be commensurate with experience.
