The Department of Psychology at Suffolk University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology, beginning July 1, 2023. The area of scholarship is open. Candidates must hold a doctorate in Psychology at the time of appointment, with a preference for candidates who are licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts. The department includes a 300-person undergraduate major, an APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, an Applied Developmental Ph.D. program, and a Master’s of Mental Health Counseling program. We are committed to promoting equity in the field and inclusive teaching practices; candidates who would increase the diversity of the faculty are particularly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and doctoral-level courses. In addition to demonstrating excellence in teaching and research, the successful candidate is expected to advise and mentor undergraduate and clinical doctoral students, serve on dissertation committees, maintain familiarity with APA doctoral training standards and regulations, and engage in service within the Department, College, and University.
