The First Year Experience (FYE) at Queens College, CUNY, invites applications for an Assistant Director of the program. The Assistant Director reports to FYE’s Director and works with freshmen and new transfer students during their first year at Queens College and FYE’s team of upper-level undergraduate peer mentors. 

In partnership with other student support services on campus, FYE promotes retention-boosting programming that eases new students’ transitions to college and assists them in developing successful paths to graduation. This programming currently includes freshman-only introductory courses, peer mentorship that fosters scholarly, social, and career-minded progress, and experiential and interdisciplinary learning opportunities delivered in FYE’s workshops and through developmental support for faculty teaching introductory/gateway courses.
