Western Program: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach in Climate Change and Resilience. Appointment begins January 17, 2023.

Required: Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences or closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor. Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences for appointment as Instructor. Position not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with a strong background in scientific/social science disciplines relating to climate change and climate change resilience, mitigation and/or adaptation. Areas of expertise could include climate justice, environmental policy (domestic and/or international), urban and rural planning, environmental activism, biodiversity and conservation, food security and climate-induced migration and social upheaval.
