Job Description:

 

Baruch College is located in Manhattan’s historic Gramercy/Flatiron district between Midtown and Wall Street and offers significant professional opportunities to interact with operations and supply chain professionals in the healthcare, retail, banking and finance, technology, transportation, and government sectors. The Zicklin School of Business is New York City’s premier public business school with an international reputation for excellence in offering nationally-ranked business degrees including BBA and MBA programs, specialized MS degrees in Business Analytics, executive programs (including the executive MBA in Healthcare Administration), and the Zicklin PhD in Business, offered jointly with the CUNY Graduate Center (including the newest PhD concentration, Operations and Decision Analytics ). The Operations Management faculty routinely publish in top journals such as Management Science , Operations Research, and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management , and host internationally-known OM scholars in the Omega research seminar series .

The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Operations Management starting August 2023, subject to final budget approval .

For this position, a demonstrated research interest in healthcare is desired. Both analytical and empirical research orientations will be considered.

NOTES:

All CUNY employees must reside within a commutable distance to the tri-state area.

Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Qualifications:

Applicants should have a PhD (or ABD) in Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

The successful candidate will pursue and promote a rigorous research agenda in operations management, leading to publications in top journals such as Management Science , Operations Research, and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management. The candidate will contribute to the doctoral concentration in Operations and Decision Analytics (ODA). The candidate will also be prepared to teach courses in operations management and/or business analytics to MBA, MS, and BBA students with full course ownership.
