Position Summary
The University of Georgia is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Operations Coordinator, a Public Service & Outreach faculty member. The Archway Partnership is a Public Service and Outreach Unit under the leadership of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach ( PSO ), where diversity, equity, and inclusion are valued and professional development opportunities exist.
The Operations Coordinator is a senior member of the Archway Partnership leadership team and is essential in building strategic relationships both across the State of Georgia and within the University of Georgia to ensure the success of the Archway Partnership. The Operations Coordinator is key to ensuring that the Archway Partnership process of community engagement and outreach provides rewarding experiences for local stakeholders, student experiential learning and faculty scholarship. The position carries rank in the public service faculty career ladder of the University of Georgia. This is a statewide position and requires the ability to travel to locations across Georgia during the day, in the evening, and on weekends as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of a Master’s degree in public administration, urban/regional planning, public policy, public health, higher education, community development, business, non-profit management, or related field
Additional Requirements
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
1. Six to eight years’ experience in the areas of community development, economic development, public administration, planning, and/or community organizing, regional planning, or related field
2. One to three years’ supervisory experience with students, staff or faculty potions.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
1. History of working with communities and organizations, organizing, publicizing, and implementing community dialogue, administrative writing, presenting, computer skills, and project management skills.
2. Background engaging with academic research, grant writing, program design and evaluation, or teaching
3. Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
4. Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail, including the ability to present scientific, technical, and programmatic information to diverse audiences and the ability to articulate a vision of public service, community outreach and engagement
6. Demonstrated abilities coordinating and leading inter-disciplinary and/or inter-departmental processes to advance a strategic priority of an institution or organization
7. Track record of successful grant writing
8. Expertise in program evaluation or assessment and economic impact.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
1. Recruits, trains, and supervises the Archway Professional in communities and serves as Interim Archway Professional when vacancies occur
2. Works closely with the Director and the leadership team to identify and prepare new communities for the Archway Partnership process as well as guide graduating communities through their closure process
3. Works with business manager to monitor and manage partnership community funds with local partners
4. Networks and develops relationships with key state agencies, University System of Georgia institutions, and colleges within the Technical College System of Georgia
5. Engages with regional partnerships, non-profit organizations, professional trade groups, private colleges and universities, business and industry, and others to extend the reach of collaborative efforts, impacts and resources
6. Builds project teams of students-faculty-staff to leverage expertise for community projects and initiatives
7. Serves as Archway Partnership Liaison with campus schools, colleges, institutes, centers, departments, and other entities to link UGA resources (faculty and students) to community identified needs
8. Documents activities and program impact, as well as participating in research and scholarly activities as a Public Service and Outreach faculty member
