Job Description:

The Director, Financial Aid position is a 12-month professional/managerial position located on the Pensacola Campus. The Director, Financial Aid directs and supervises the staff and operation of the district-wide Financial Aid Department. This position plans, organizes, and coordinates all district-wide federal, state, and local financial aid, veterans affairs, and scholarship programs; prepares and submits required institutional applications for federal, state, and local financial aid and veterans affairs, and prepares reports for each; establishes annual need-based aid packaging parameters and submits for approval; directs and coordinates the student assistance application and counseling process; authorizes fund disbursements to eligible students; and analyses and interprets federal or state statutes and regulations affecting student financial aid and implements them as required. This position reports to the Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree and four years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in financial aid are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

SALARY RANGE: $54,000.00 - $70,000.00

Depending upon qualifications and experience, the salary is negotiable.
