Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law invites individuals interested in serving in a Christian university environment to apply for a tenure track professor of law position.  The tenure-track faculty position is a nine-month appointment that will begin in August 2023 at the rank of Assistant Professor.  

Required qualifications include outstanding academic credentials, including a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent degree and demonstrated experience in a relevant subject matter.   

Applicants with demonstrated expertise in business organizations, contracts, commercial law (and other areas of transactional law), labor & employment law, torts law, property law, environmental law, family law, civil rights/race and the law, negotiation and mediation, and professional responsibility are especially encouraged to apply. 

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, a demonstrated publication record and research agenda, and experience in private practice, government, or public service.
