Job Details

The Financial Aid Director provides overall strategic leadership and administration for all aspects of the UW-La Crosse (UWL) Financial Aid Office. The director is a key member of the UWL Enrollment Services group and works in close collaboration with recruitment and retention partners. The director provides leadership and budget direction to UWL’s experienced, well-respected, and student-centered Financial Aid unit. The director also ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and unit strategy in support of awarding financial aid to qualifying students. The director is responsible for the awarding and disbursement of the annual financial aid expenditures, a comprehensive aid budget of approximately $72 million including federal, state, institution, and foundation aid. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Financial Aid Director is a key member of the leadership team within UWL Academic Affairs, and also oversees the coordination of both the UWL It Make$ Cents! Program and the UWL Scholarship Resource Center.
