Purpose of Position

To provide diagnostic and treatment services to students with mental health or personal development issues, aiding in personal growth and development, and contributing to academic success and retention. This position should provide multi-culturally informed clinical services to individual, couples, and groups.

Two positions are available.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, couples and group psychotherapy, as well as crisis therapy services for NKU students.
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop/implement treatment plans related to mental health and/or substance use.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant departments and office on campus.
  • Participate in facilitation of educational and preventative outreach opportunities on campus.
  • Assist in training/developing student interns.
  • Attend weekly clinical staffing/staff meetings as well as any staff development workshops/retreats and stay abreast of current research and practices.
Qualifications
  • Licensed in the state of Kentucky as a LPCA, LPCC, LCSW, Psychologist
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience
