Position Summary
The department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions and full-time visiting faculty position openings. (Please note: FT Visiting positions are rare and they should not be the sole purpose for your application.)
Major Responsibilities
A classroom based 3 credit hour course pays $3250 per class.The department typically hires for the courses/subject areas listed below but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department. ILLUSTRATIVE NEEDS INCLUDE :
ATH 121 Art in the Ancient World;
ATH 122 Art in the Modern World;
upper level art history courses as needed.
ATS 101 Drawing;
ATS 102 Design;
ATS 202 Design II;
ATS 103 Painting;
ATS 104 Ceramics;
ATS 108 Surface Design;
ATS 208 Weaving;
ATS 106 Sculpture;
ATS 240 Graphic Design I;
ATS 345 Animation Techniques;
ATS 114 Photography;
ATS 241 Typography;
ATS 107 Printmaking;
ATS 209 Lithography;
upper level studio art courses as needed.
Studio Technician
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Reports to academic department chair.
Required Qualifications
Appropriate level of experience and/or Master of Fine Arts ( MFA ) degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree preferred.
