Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) seeks applicants for an Adjunct Teaching position in Accounting for the Spring Semester, 2023 . This is a one semester appointment with primary responsibility for teaching and contributing to the educational mission of the undergraduate Business Administration program in Doha, Qatar.

CMUQ’s undergraduate Business Administration program has earned global recognition for its approach to the study of business management as a science. The program emphasizes a quantitative, analytical approach, training students in the foundations of business.

CMUQ operates in concert with several other American and European branch campuses under the umbrella of Qatar Foundation’s Education City. The branch campus closely follows the admissions requirements and English language curriculum of the home campus, which awards all degrees. The several thousand students in Education City students are a broad mix of nationalities, but primarily from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. CMUQ’s faculty includes professionals hired specifically to the campus and seconded faculty from the main campus. CMUQ’s primary focus is undergraduate education in Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, and Information Systems.

Qualifications

We seek an engaging colleague, passionate about teaching, whose primary responsibility will be to deliver the Managerial Accounting elective course to undergraduate Business Administration students.

Applicants are expected either to have a Ph.D. in Accounting or to possess professional certification in accounting with significant work experience in the area.
