The School of Media & Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor in Entertainment Media beginning in Fall 2023.  The primary responsibility will be teaching courses in entertainment media and building the presence of the Strategic Communications degree offering on the OSU-Tulsa campus.

The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester.  Classes will be taught primarily at the OSU-Tulsa campus, which may include: Entertainment in the Media, Social Media, Writing for Entertainment Media, Strategic Communication Campaigns, Event Planning, and other courses as needed.

We seek an individual with expertise in areas including, but not limited to, publicity and promotions, entertainment event planning, celebrity branding, digital platforms, or other areas relevant to strategic communications in entertainment media.

A completed master’s degree or doctorate in communications or a related discipline is required. Demonstrated teaching excellence at the college level and relevant professional experience is preferred.
